BioExpedition Kenya ran from May 21 - June 20, 2017. Eleven students from St. Lawrence University (SLU), along with Drs. Alex Schreiber from SLU and Jessica Rogers from SUNY Potsdam, and Dakota Casserly from SLU examined conservation policies and practices, learned about animal behavior, human physiology and its response to altitude climbing Mt. Kenya.
We visited the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage in Nairobi, Soysambu Conservancy and tagged raptors, Lake Nakuru National Park, and Hell's Gate National Park. We did a boat tour on Lake Naivasha and caught and tagged fish eagles. We climbed Mt. Kenya to Pt. Lanana.
